CASA MILAGRO

MILAGRO Women’s Education Center (MILAGRO) at the Augustinian Lutheran Center of Guatemala in Guatemala City. Rural women will attend the MILAGRO Women’s Education Center to continue their education and develop various skills vital for a future with a better quality of life. By utilizing these skills, they will be empowered to return to their communities, start sustainable businesses, and become leaders and role models in their churches, communities, and families.

MISSION 

Accompany and train women from ILAG communities through comprehensive education, spiritual strengthening, and leadership training, so that they may be agents of change, justice, and reconciliation in their families, churches, and communities.

VISION 

To be a model program that, inspired by the Gospel, transforms the lives of women and communities, building a more just, equitable, and inclusive church and society.

GENERAL GOAL

Strengthen leadership, comprehensive training, and active participation of women in the faith communities of the Augustinian Lutheran Church of Guatemala (ILAG), promoting equal opportunities, gender justice, and sustainable development in their environments.

SPECIFIC GOALS

1. Academic and technical training: Provide participants with access to formal education, vocational training, and tools that promote their personal and professional development.

2. Community leadership development: Empower women to take on leadership roles in their communities and congregations, promoting equitable participation in decision-making processes.

3. Spiritual and pastoral strengthening: Accompany participants in their spiritual growth, promoting a faith that inspires social commitment and transformative action.

4. Economic empowerment: Provide knowledge and skills for the development of productive projects that improve economic self-sufficiency and family sustainability.

5. Promotion of gender equity: Create spaces for reflection and action to build more just and inclusive relationships in faith communities and society.
