Community cooking workshop

The Augustinian Lutheran Church of Guatemala (ILAG) held a cooking workshop for women as part of its efforts to strengthen communities and promote the comprehensive development of families.

The workshop was led by chef Amalia Moreno Baumgard, who shared valuable lessons on the efficient and creative use of vegetables produced in the communities themselves. During the workshop, participants acquired practical knowledge on how to make better use of local resources, promoting more conscious, sustainable, and nutritious eating habits.

This space for learning and fellowship is part of the areas of action of the Ministry of Women, Education, and Health, reaffirming ILAG’s commitment to the physical, emotional, and social well-being of women and their families.

The Augustinian Lutheran Church of Guatemala keeps Christ at the center of its mission, promoting initiatives that contribute to improving quality of life, strengthening capacities, and building more supportive and resilient communities.

ILAG will continue to promote training and support spaces for women, strengthening their active participation in the development of their communities.
