Atonement visit San Antonio
One of the most special moments of the Atonement Lutheran Church visit was the trip to San Antonio Tzeja to celebrate the dedication of a new church building—a project that symbolizes God’s faithfulness and the joint effort of many people who, with love and dedication, made this place of worship possible. The dedication ceremony was filled with joy and gratitude, including the symbolic act of handing over the keys to the church, which marked the beginning of a new chapter for the congregation. For the community, this building represents not only a physical gathering place but also a spiritual home where they can grow in faith, strengthen their relationships, and continue to serve future generations.
As part of the celebration, the Atonement delegation, together with members of the community, worked together to prepare the temple, helping to sand and paint the pews. Children, youth, and adults participated enthusiastically, sharing a time of service and fellowship that strengthened the bonds between people from different cultures, united by a common faith. More than just a practical task, this activity became an opportunity to talk, laugh, and contribute together to the well-being of the local church. Each bench they prepared reflected their teamwork and their desire to build, together, a welcoming place for the community.
During the celebration of church service, there were also deeply meaningful moments, including baptisms that filled everyone present with joy. Families, friends, and visitors came together to support these acts of faith, sharing an atmosphere of hope, communion, and gratitude. Throughout the visit, spending time together helped strengthen friendships, provided a deeper understanding of community life, and allowed everyone to experience God’s love through mutual service. Uno de los momentos más especiales de la visita a la Iglesia Luterana Atonement fue el viaje a San Antonio Tzeja para celebrar la inauguración de un nuevo templo, un proyecto que simboliza la fidelidad de Dios y el esfuerzo conjunto de muchas personas que, con amor y dedicación, hicieron posible este lugar de culto. La ceremonia de dedicación estuvo llena de alegría y gratitud, e incluyó el acto simbólico de la entrega de las llaves de la iglesia, lo que marcó el inicio de un nuevo capítulo para la congregación. Para la comunidad, este edificio representa no solo un lugar físico de reunión, sino también un hogar espiritual donde pueden crecer en la fe, fortalecer sus relaciones y seguir sirviendo a las generaciones futuras.
Como parte de la celebración, la delegación de Atonement, junto con miembros de la comunidad, colaboró en la preparación del templo, ayudando a lijar y pintar las bancas. Niños, jóvenes y adultos participaron con entusiasmo, compartiendo un momento de servicio y compañerismo que fortaleció los lazos entre personas de diferentes culturas, unidas por una fe común.
